What we’re doing
Whether merchant/wholesaler, contractor, or multi-million-pound building firm, Scotland’s construction sector is fighting to keep its people, businesses and livelihoods intact and, in turn, this Forum is fighting for them
By pooling expertise and knowledge, the Forum represents the interests of Scotland’s diverse construction supply chain with one consistent voice. Forum priorities include lobbying the Scottish Government to influence policy and to push for positive action, and to give expert focus to important sector issues including commercial, employment, planning for the future, skills, and health and safety.
Sub-groups
Within the main Forum, we have established four sub-groups to coordinate specific functions, in line with the recovery plan developed by Scottish Government and Scottish Construction Leadership Forum, and with input from representatives from a range of other organisations:

Conflict Avoidance Pledge
The Forum has signed up to the Conflict Avoidance Pledge, a joint initiative by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Institution of Civil Engineers and other major professional bodies in the built environment. The CAP aims to use early intervention techniques throughout the supply chain to try and resolve differences of opinion before they escalate into disputes. Find out more here.
